:banghead: Looks like the Anti's are mobilizing for a push...

Virginia Tech massacre survivor and Brady staff member, Colin Goddard, will be talking with Oprah about a new documentary called "Living for 32."

"Living for 32" is a powerful portrait of Colin, his account of the terror he and his Virginia Tech classmates faced on April 16, 2007 and the courageous journey of renewal and hope he chose to pursue.

Colin's journey since that day led him to Brady and to a deep commitment to help make America safer.

Colin says it best:

"I will always believe I was in the right place at the right time in class at 9:00 am. And despite the horror, I survived as one of the luckier ones.

For the 32 Hokies who were lost that day, and for the 32 Americans who are lost everyday to gun murders, I've decided to devote this time in my life to making a difference, so their memories might be honored and the damage to our society lessened.

Many people say we can't or shouldn't improve the gun laws in this country. I'm part of the next generation, I reject that premise, and I say we can and should do better."

Last year, Colin went undercover to gun shows to shine a light on the dangerous gun show loophole. He found one irresponsible unlicensed gun seller after another willing to sell him guns without a Brady criminal background check.

Watch Colin's undercover footage, and then sign the petition to urge Congress to close the gun show loophole and make our families and communities safer!

And please don't miss Colin on the Oprah show on Monday, October 25, at 4 pm ET!

I'll lay money that one of them will say "Well, just this weekend in the Washington Post there was an article about illegal gun sales..."

He'll find plenty of followers in her audience. These folks change their philosophy based on Oprah's weekly whims. Sheep are more independent thinkers.

There is no "gunshow loophole," but when did getting the facts straight ever stop a good anti-gun story?

So, to paraphrase:

I've decided to save peaceful adults from violent ones by denying to the former the rights and instruments abused by the latter.

Is that about right?

Spot on Mikhail!

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." Edmund Burke. There are more good men and women that die at the hands of one evil person. Take away the right to defend themselves or the innocent bystander and the foundation of our basic rights will began to crumble. Our constitution will no longer be a living document, but rather a piece of paper everyone can wipe themselves with in the bathroom.

Yep these folks are the equivalent of a 4 year old sticking their fingers in their ears and screaming I CAN'T HEAR YOU! When confronted by something they don't like!

Why is this fool concentrating on private sales at gun shows? Cho got his guns from a licensed dealer after he passed the required background check. FWIW I was at VT the week before the murders and being a police officer I carried my weapon with me there. They have a great Veternarian program there. My step-son's cat needed surgery and they were highly recommended.

I'm afraid I can't watch Oprah. Many years ago I made a New Year's resolution not to watch Donahue, and simply transferred that resolution to Oprah when she became the big fish in the polluted television sea. Watching Brady propaganda wouldn't do much but make me angry anyway, and I am proud to say I've kept my resolution not to watch either Donahue or Oprah for many years. If anyone does watch this show and posts a list of sponsors I will be more than happy to contact them and let them know I will never buy any of their products.
Also, it would be nice if people like Colin actually studied up on firearms laws before spouting off, but those who know the least often know it the loudest. The very thought that if people like he and Brady get their way only criminals will have firearms just gives me a warm fuzzy!

all set up for the lame duck session push to pass a last minute anti-gun law in congress with our muslim-in-chief signing it............GUARANTEED :fire:

I'd take that bet. And he's not Muslim.

I support the right of that young man to have his point of view heard. I think his opinion is understandable, given what he's been through. I don't share his perspective, but I can understand it.

BCC, does someone have a bit of the stockholm syndrome? As far as all info reflects the burden is on Obama to prove hes not muslim. We are what our parents raise us as and he admitted his dad was Muslim and I think his mom was an atheist or buddhist-muslim of sort dabbling. Hes definitely not Christian, but who cares, really. America has become consumers as a religion. Anyway, expect a bill to pass before many Dems are booted out of congress in the lame duck.

Love it.
I'd take that bet.
I will too. They won't try any anti gun stuff unless they win in November, which is not looking good, and even then it is not high on the agenda.
And he's not Muslim.
Yep, just ask him. ;)

I don't understand the syndrome reference. I've come to accept a man's word about his religious beliefs. He says he's Christian, good enough for me. And like you, it doesn't matter to me at all. Just what's in a mans heart, s'all.

Don't forget many Dems are anti more restrictive gun laws too. Harry won't allow it. Our guns are safe.
