Vic's thread on what folks around here do to earn a living and support thier hobbies got me wondering..

What would you consider as your "dream" job or profession?

Mine, PGA touring pro would be a excellent way to make a living.

How bout you?

Tomcat driver for the "Jolly Rogers" VF-84.

A few years of carrier landings and takeoffs would satisfy my adrenalin quota for quite a while.

Poster child competitor for Springfield Armory/ SW... or the guy that tests the bullet proof vests (no not buy getting shot with them but buy annihalating them with various small arms)

I actually have a job I really like, just wish it was a bit lower in stakes. I'd also like to get out of the "sales and marketing" side of what I do and simply be an IT engineer that doesn't have to worry about "billable hours".

Jet pilot. All I ever really wanted to do. But, the services wont have me w/ this 4F nearsightedness, so I have to content myself w/ fast and loud toys that civilians can own.

Director of Photography (the guy who decides what camera angles to use, how to set the lighting, etc. in a film). A rich one. Either that or a really well eqiupped armorer for said movie.

I have dreamed over the years of doing stuff ranging from playing in the NFL or MLB to working in some interesting capacity in the gun industry. But when it comes down to brass tacks, I wouldn't want to do anything other than what I am doing. Well, let me change that, I would rather be very rich and not have to work. It was never my dream job, but after I got it, I realize that I wouldn't want to do anything else.
Second choice would be managing a legal brothel.

Comfortably retired while still able to enjoy it.

I'd probably do lots of things...student, stock trader, golfer, builder, gunsmith--maybe even gun store owner.

But none would be for monetary profit.

resident historian for some sort of military or firearms museum that does "living history" type things, where the items on display are demonstated to teh public as to their function and usage.

or simplay a Military history Prof. at a decent college.

Being a full time Bladesmith, instead of a free time tinker, and full time member of the working dead. I can never get enough time at the forge to do more than make a small blade or a gift for some one.

Working at HK as the governent sales guy....company paid trips to Korea and guns and ammo on company time.... :D

I have no say..........

I'm a Multi-channel Transmissions Systems Operators for Uncle Sam for the next 4 year.

I have no clue want that means. but that want i will be doing.

It would be nice to be filthy rich and just do whatever I wanted whatever mood would strike me. I think maybe finding the kids you see on the milk cartons that have disappeared would be cool to do. Probably earn some good kharma points that way too. NFL football player would be good too.
Maybe world darts champion. Something that would allow me to meet and seduce Milla Jovovich.
