Wonder what the reality of this is?

There are a lot of credible state and local organizations. Would like to see those unified to combat what, apparently, will be a tough four years for 2A.In the long run it might be best. It would hurt in the short run to loose the NRA but it would make room for a more modern thinking and less corrupt pro-2A organizations to step into the vacuum.
If I heard correctly, a reporter on CNN said those charges are forthcoming.Hmm.... if they've broken the law then bring criminal charges.
Well yeah it's CNN...If I heard correctly, a reporter on CNN said those charges are forthcoming.
I strongly disagree with throwing the baby out with the bathwater. In the long run it might be best. It would hurt in the short run to loose the NRA but it would make room for a more modern thinking and less corrupt pro-2A organizations to step into the vacuum.
We can only hope that is true. The squandering of members' funds is inexcusable. If I heard correctly, a reporter on CNN said those charges are forthcoming.

If there is evidence of corrupt mismanagement of the organization, then by all means, arrest them and hold them accountable.
To legally terminate the NRA would be penalizing three million + members for the deeds of a few individuals. Not at all the way America was intended to self-govern. Use of government power by elected officials to eliminate powerful opposition to their unconstitutional laws is not a good thing no matter how one looks at it, and it stinks of corrupt anti-American, political thuggery. Something to be expected in a banana republic.
The membership is not corrupt. Do not penalize them for the acts of the ones committing the fraud/criminal acts. That is not fair and not normally the way our laws are intended to be administered. To be clear, not from an anti-gun stance but an Anti-Fraud stance. I for one, would like to see a more modern and less corrupt and more inclusive 2A group come to power.
The NRA is not beyond repair. We can only hope that is true. The squandering of members' funds is inexcusable.
The NRA is organized (through manipulation by WLP and company) in a way that the members no longer have a legitimate say in what the organization does. The members are simple cash cow for the leadership's corruption. The NRA is beyond easy repair and the membership would be better served by moving on to more open and honest pro-2A groups. IMHO the NRA is a lost cause and that is a real shame.
YGBSM.....To be clear, not from an anti-gun stance but an Anti-Fraud stance.
The NRA is not beyond repair.
That would be like saying the entire body of gun owners is beyond repair and we must eliminate firearms ownership in order to hold the corrupt leadership accountable because they will just migrate to the next organization and corrupt it just the same.
I understand your hatred for the NRA and its leadership. I just believe your energies would be better served supporting GOA, JFPO or another firearms supporting organization rather than expending energy attempting to ruin the one most Second Amendment supporters belong.
