Woman shot in chest but saved by silicone implants

A Brazilian woman, shot in crossfire between police and drug dealers, was saved by her silicone breast implants.

Doctors said the silicone had slowed the bullet up enough to prevent it from causing her a serious injury.

Jane Selma Soares was caught up in shooting between police officers and drug traffickers in Rio de Janeiro.

She told Las Ultimas Noticias newspaper that even though she tried to hide, a bullet hit her in the chest.

When she got to a nearby hospital doctors realised her implants had stopped the bullet entering her body further.

The doctor who treated her said: "If there was no silicone the bullet could have reached a vital organ causing serious damage."

A plastic surgeon was called in to fix the damage and took the opportunity to increase the size of Mrs Soares' breasts with more silicone.

She said: "I'm twice happy, first because my prosthesis saved my life and also because now I look even more beautiful."

Water, silicone, fat etc etc.
Tween your vitals and the bad guy.
All decrease the performance of hollow points...
And to a lesser extent, ball.

Tis all relative.

And luck.

I was going to let this go, but one glance at the "HTH" thread and I just had to come back.....

Preacherman,

So who was the boob that wrote this article?

I know, I know. I'll hate myself in the morning..... :p

Ladies...if you ever wanted a reason, there it is. :D

Mike

PS My wife said "I'll take the risk, thanks." :D :D :D

"(Insert state here) police are planning on upgrading from Bullet Proof Vests to slicone inserts soon.

Some reasons for the change?

'I can sleep and wake up all ready to go to work and be protected'

'They make nice accesories and go so well with spaghetti straps'

'I've always wanted an extra shelf'

The woman had no comment except that they are happy that they won't be getting stared at when wearing revealing tops..."

:D :D

Man knocked over but unhurt as stray bullet hits his jeans zip

A Brazilian says the zip on his jeans saved him when a stray bullet hit it.

The builder was at a street party in Sao Paulo when police and a kidnapping gang started firing at each other.

The man who hasn't been named says the force of the stray bullet knocked him to the floor.

He told the Agora SP newspaper: "Thank God it hit my zip and left me unhurt. I feel like I'm born again."

Police arrested the gang leader after he was shot in the back. Ten other people were hurt but there were no deaths.

Witness Maria do Socorro Nunes said of the gunfight: "People were screaming all over the place."

I think I need a "Keyboard Condom" so I can spray coffee safely after reading some of these posts.

Good one.

Regards. (and happy to be here)

Merry Christmas

Tactical breast implants? Now if they'd just make them with flashlights in them, we could call them ... ummmmm .... "headlights"? Naw, no one would ever call them THAT!

:D  :p

I told my wife about this story last night and she said, "See, there's another reason for me to get some of those!" With three kids it has not been a priority but since it has become a safety issue I might have to relent and get her a pair. Really not a hard decision as I would just spend the money on some other toys if not on these newfangled ballistic protectors. I would of course only do this in the interest of increasing her safety, and I guess that the bigger the protectors the better the protection right? If it saves just one wife's life then it is worth it. Man, sometimes my generous, caring and selfless nature surprises me.
