I went out shooting today with a friend. While he was reloading my Henry the little orange plastic piece in the magazine tube snapped off. I'm pretty sure he didn't break it, it was just getting worn out, but that's not important. What I'm worried about is how well the rifle still functions. The gun still seems to function fine. Of course there's occasional trouble loading the last bullet into the chamber now but other than that it still feeds fine. I was wondering if perhaps this is a simple fix though? Could I just perhaps apply a little model glue and it'd be all set again? Is there some cheap jerry-rigging I could set it up with but that I don't have to change anything on the rifle? I don't think I really want to get an entire new magazine tube just because the little orange plastic piece snapped.

The best suggestion that I could give you would be to call Henry Customer Service after the holiday and explain your problem. I am sure they will send you the replacement part at N/C or at a nominal fee. Give Henry a call and put your mind at ease. :)
