Well we know Brownells is great for "small fiddly gun bits". I've ordered a few small parts for my New Vaquero such as an SBH hammer, second pawl so I can free-spin-modify it, spare small springs, etc. Plus a 38cal cylinder hone (fine) with oil, set of proper screwdrivers for a Ruger SA, etc.

Ordered via the web, used the cheapo shipping option (US post office).

It seemed to be taking a bit - just over a week as of today, when I get a call from 'em saying it had been returned.

That's odd - I'd gotten other mail at my PO box recently. They read back the "ship to" address and it was correct - looks like a post office blooper.

So they're re-sending it to another mailing address I have available and upgrading to UPS Ground no extra charge (normally about $6 or so).

I'm impressed both with the upgrade, and the fact that they seemed to have gotten to me by phone fairly soon after the return, the time delay would be about right for round trip via post office.

Good customer service.

Don't know that I'd consider UPS ground an upgrade...you may as well send it by boat to the Mojave. USPS Priority Mail is best, then the normal First Class IME.

But, yes, Brownell's is a great place to do business with. If you have a C&R, it's even better.

I dunno - I've had post office people tear stuff open, and then deliver the empty box, with nothing but a "this item was inspected" notice for an excuse. Never have had a problem with UPS.

As an aside, Wilson sent a set of new dies after the first batch went missing.
