I recently lost a piece of my buckmark's extractor assembly when I was cleaning it. However, browning sent me a replacement part for free, cool right? Well I installed the part and the gun still won't eject rounds properly (I am just working the slide, not firing) despite the new part, and everything seeming to be in order. The extractor won't hold onto the rim of the cartidge tight enough anymore, what gives????

Did you have all three parts for the extractor assembly installed: extractor, plunger and spring?

And is the plunger installed so that the little end is against the spring and the big end against the extractor?

Yes, everything is inststalled properly. It is really confusing me. Maybe when I fire it, it will do alright, but I could have sworn that when I racked the slide before, it would really toss those shells.

Make sure you didn't loose the ejector wire. It is a little piece of bent wire that sits in a slot on the frame and ejects the shell after the extractor pulls it from the chamber. Lock your slide back and check if its there. See the picture below.
