What do you guys think of these buckmark pistols how are they how do they hold up let me know everything you do about em.

I've got the stainless UDX with black laminate grips and love it. It's the most fun gun I've got. Pretty accurate also. Only problem is the rear site base come loose within 20 shots. I need to get some blue locktite for those screws. Can't use red locktite because one of those screws has to come out for takedown. Anyway, I can deal with the screw problem because I really do love this gun. CCI mini-mags seem to work well with it.

I've got a plain jane Camper with a 4" barrel. Of the 4 .22 pistols I own, it is my favorite. I don't think you'll find too many people who will speak poorly of these little guys. My rear site base comes loose as well. That would be my only complaint.

I like them. I like rugers better, but that's what I grew up with. My experience is that buckmarks look and feel better, but rugers seem to be more reliable. On the nickel BM I had the nickel flaked away from around the chamber from the slide impact.
I got one on sale at Cabela's. Seems to work fine but I haven't shot it alot. I bought it to basically shoot steel matches on the cheap. Just for fun.
Thus, it's worked for me in this limited realm. The price was right as compared to others.

I own 2 Buckmarks. The first one I bought is a standard that I shot Bullseye with for several years. I then bought a dedicated target version I currently use for Bullseye shooting. They're great pistols, accurate and reliable. Between the Ruger and the Buckmark the Buckmark comes with a much better trigger though if you put another $90 or so into a Volquartsen kit for the Ruger you can match it.
Had to smile at the remark posted that the "Ruger is more reliable". It is a standing joke at our Bullseye league shoots that when an alibi (misfire or jam) is called, its a Ruger shooter.

I had one. . .it was a tack driver. I purchased an aftermarket barrel from Tactical Solutions and put on a rail for a 2x red dot. I modified an Uncle Mike's holster to take the Buckmark with the scope. I was the terror of the eastern woods for a while. Squirrels feared me!

I find the trigger let off to be a bit variable from one example to the next. I need to find some one who knows how to do a good trigger job on one. The sear and notch is a bit un-othodox, on the back side of the hammer and upside down. Aside from this point, I think highly of them. In this day and age a creepy trigger is pretty common on most makes.
Never messed with a Ruger 22 so can offer no opinion.

Like the Buckmark's
I've had a Micro Buckmark for years and have no complaints. Added Browning laminated grips that were on sale which really dressed it up. My shooting buddy liked mine so much that he went out and bought a Buckmark Plus, for some reason it doesn't like Federal ammo. Very accurate and hand to grip fit is perfect.

Picked one of these up a cabela's myself. Great handling gun, tack driver almost right out of the box. Easier to disassemble and clean than a Ruger Mark II by a country mile.

Howdy, I was torn a few weeks ago between buying a Buckmark or a Ruger. At first I was going for the Buckmark as I just plain like the looks & feel of the gun. After talking with the salesman about the mountability of a scope or red-dot, he said the Ruger MK III was ready to go for that as they come with a rail you can put right on. As for the Buckmark, you would have to buy an after-market rail made for the Buckmark. I ended up buying the Ruger and just added a Volquartsen custom accurizing kit, and now it has a great trigger, that was well worth the extra $90. LM
PS. I still like the looks of a Buckmark better, FWIW.

A Buckmark was my first firearm, about a year ago. It's a fine gun. My only complaint is that you must separate the sight rail from the barrel when field stripping it, so to remain accurate, you need to sight it in again each time. At least I do, because I use a red dot sight.

I also have a Buckmark micro with the bull barrel. I thought it was better looking than the Ruger. It has been completely reliable and shoots whatever I put in it. I installed Williams Firesights front and rear. It is very accurate. I probably have 2500 rounds thru it with no problems.
