I have. It's quite the showroom.Great to hear. Have you visited their store in Williamsport, PA?
I'd look at a Ruger Hawkeye or, if bladed triggers don't bother you, a Savage, in 375 Ruger

Bought an AICS chassis from them a number of years ago. It was the cheapest i could find it for. They had m18s almost half price then any other place, they had a great meopta scope combo one time to.
There's ATA Arms out of Turkey.
I have zero experience with them, but they sound nice on paper for a hunting rifle. Copied from their website:
"Turqua is distinguished from the other bolt action rifles with its 3-stage safety and 2-stage adjustable trigger. Turqua’s 60-degree bolt lift is shorter (compared to typical 90-degree bolt throw) that allows faster loading on follow-up shots. The free-floating feature maintains barrel to stock spacing for consistent accuracy. SUB-MOA at 3 shots is guaranteed with this button-rifled barrel."
That checks about every box I'd like in a hunting rifle, personally. They also have a number of models with iron sights, options of nice Walnut, laminate, synthetic and camo stocks, adjustable or traditional fixed. Threaded or plain muzzles too.

Limited selection on cartridges currently. Only 308win, 6.5CM and 243Win. Proprietary magazines as well. Not deal breakers, but I've already got 2 308win's, a 6.5CM and a 243Win barrel I need to find an action for.
Certainly a good looking rifle. I think they got something for just about everyone in their lineup. As long as you want one of those three cartridges. If they announce a 375 Ruger or 358win I might have to find a way to pick one up.
Wasnt the S&W bolt action a Husqvarna made rifle?Find a used Sako or Husqvarna with a mauser style actions. They are high quality, a little exotic but not too exotic. The name brand Sakos are a bit more pricey but you can find Husqvarna and imported Husqvarna for really respectable prices. Most of the used ones are in very American cartridges such as .30-06, .270, and .243. But if you ordered a new one you could get it in something fun like your 9.3, 375HH, me personally? 6.5X55 Swede.
Those are cool!
They look good and tick alot of boxes. But being the first Turkish bolt guns I've seen in decades there's still some questions about quality I'd like answered before trying one out.
They did at one point, then the 1500 series was made by Howa after thatWasnt the S&W bolt action a Husqvarna made rifle?
Just bought a new Sauer 100 Classic in 9.3x62.Not really exotic...
But my last hunt got me craving a new rifle.
But I like things that are a little different. I've considered the usual suspects like Savage and Winchester and more hipster options like Tikka or Bergara.
But I'm really wanting something cool. I'm looking at the Sauer 100 or Mauser M18. Both are nearly the same rifle. Considered the new CZ 600 but their recall is a little concerning.
Thinking of 9.3x62 for bigger animals even though I already have a 338.
Or going 30-06 or 308 for variety.
Plan to use in Alaska, for anything from deer to sheep to caribou to moose or even black bear.
Any experience or opinions on the Sauer or Mauser budget options??
Might just go with a Ruger M77 compact if all else fails.
I picked up a 6.5 Creedmoor from them 3 years ago and it was a bargain. I can recommend the M18 without any regrets. They had m18s almost half price then any other place, they had a great meopta scope combo one time to.
OP here,
Well I think I have my options limited down.
Steyr THB 16" (cool, accurate, but heavy)
Sauer Pantera (not as heavy, still packable)
CZ 600 (has an the features I want at a great price, concerned about CZ QC and recall recently with the Colt merger)
Any thoughts??
The cz recall was not quality issue, it was an issue where the gun would still fire if the barrel was swapped and put on wrong. That said, I have heard rumors that instead of cz taking over colt, Colt is going to be running cz (into the ground)

I guess your idea of a budget rifle is a little different than mine, but I'm cheap. I really like the CZ's but I, like you, am concern with Quality Control of the new guns. You will never know until you pull the trigger. (Pun intended}OP here,

Sweet!Styer makes an excellent rifle that is not something you see a lot. Not really a budget gun though, but in today's market not high end either.

How much do those run? Are there any obvious cost cutting measures, plastic etc.View attachment 1107769
Just bought a new Sauer 100 Classic in 9.3x62.
Need to go zero. Quality is excellent.
A fairly obscure chambering that always intrigued me.
