So I'm patiently waiting for my Alaska draw-tag-lottery results to see if I get to hunt Buffalo/Bison this year.
I'm thinking of getting a classy-ish rifle if I get lucky and get a tag.
My normal hunting companion for big critters is a Ruger 77 in 338rcm. Great little gun.
So I'm thinking of going bigger to .375/.376 of some flavor, maybe a 9,3/9.3
So low and behold, I see a Sauer 100 XT online (out of stock) in 9.3x62 at a normally fair MSRP.
I remember hearing that were accurate. I remember hearing that were German? I think they are a sister company to Blaster/Mauser and obviously with ties to old SIG? Are they push feed or CRF? Pressed barrels, right? Will this be a good rifle for my future kids and their kids and their kids to have forever?
Anyways, long story short: school me on the Sauer 100 series.
Also willing to take other suggestions (looking at Sako, Tikka, CZ, Ruger, Winchester, Browning, Weatherby... You name it)
