Have a new Ruger 9 mm PC Carbine for the range and looking for a red dot, halo or reflex under $100 . Have a $50 CV Life 2.5 on my KelTec Sub 2000 which is okay for plinking and wouldn't hesitate to buy another but looking for something not as bulky and co-witness capable but that's not a deal breaker.

Thanks in advance

Bushnell TRS - 25.

Due to the rush on anything gun related they're up to around $100.00 on Amazon now...I got my two for $50.00 before the run.

Certainly not top of the line, but I found them to be dang decent sights for the $$.

Stay safe.

Another vote for the Bushnell TRS-25. As much as I want to upgrade to something better, there doesn't seem to be anything really better until you at least double the price of a TRS-25.

Looks like the standard sights of a PC9 are much too low for co-witnessing through a red dot mounted on the receiver, though.

If you can stretch your budget a little, bushnell has the trs-26 on sale for $130 with free shipping.

As a Amazon Prime member that is very disconcerting! Could you tell right away they were fake and how could you tell? Did you end up with a real Bushnell?
They were pretty close, the Bushnell is not a "high" dollar reddot. The box looked different, they say it was more dull looking, the big give away was the thing where the dot came from inside was in a different place. Can't remember the name. But Bushnell only used two locations 6o'clock and like 4 o'clock I believe. This was at 8 o'clock and took up more sight picture then normal.

These were from to different Amazon sellers to, the first one has the hole Amazon's top seller thing on the page. The quality of the red dot was bad, unusable in day light. And a ton of star burst, not the normal little bit I have.

Here's one on my ar, I figured to try it before sending it back, the average person may not have none it was fake, until they used it in sunlight.

Ya I got a real one, only after getting it from optics planet.

Since selections are limited right now, keep holosun in mind. I 90% sure they make the sig Romeo dots and may be more available/cheaper. Even if they don't make them, holosun has a great reputation.

Thank's all. Failed to realize, and I should have, that the virus induced panic is effecting almost everything regarding firearms. Last fall I saw the TRS 25 for $65 on Amazon. Now it's $100. Should have jumped on it then but who could have seen this coming and troy's post above makes me wary of getting one now.

Two years ago I bought an AR 15 pistol in .300 Blackout and a Sig Romeo 5 from PSA. I gifted it to my LEO son who carries it in his patrol car. I really like the Romeo but I paid $105 back then now they are around $160.

I haven't shot this new Ruger yet as I'm on my third week of Corona lock down. Who know's it may turn out to be more than a plinker. If so I'll buy the appropriate optic but for now I'm still open for suggestions.

I put the Glock magazine adapter in the mag well and haven't looked back. It has been 100% reliable and 100% fun with Glock 15, 17 and 33-round magazines.

I kept mine optic-free for now (I have the Bushnell TRS-25s on my AR's), but I did paint the front sight blade white then blaze orange to make it easier to see. Sooner or later another optic will make its way into my house and end up on the PC9. :)

Stay safe.

Another vote for the Primary Arms / Holosun micro dots. I run one on my PC carbine that I use for 3 -gun and that rifle has been thrown into many dump barrels with no issues.

Another vote for the Romeo. I put one on my Ruger PC 9mm carbine and have been very happy with both. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.
anxious to shoot steel competition at my gun club when things restart.

I'd go with a Primary Arms Micro Dot or Bushnell TRS25.

If you can push it to $150ish, I'd go with a Sig Romeo 5 or Primary Arms Advanced Micro Dot.

I own both and have been very happy with them. The Sig Romeo series seem to get good reviews too. I might even try one of the Swampfox Optics Liberator red dots. I've been happy with my Swampfox Kingslayer Micro Dot and Tomahawk 1-4 scopes.

After spending $450.00 on an E-OTEC for my Colt LE 6920, I swore to go cheap for a red dot for the Ruger Carbine. A TRU-GLO was like $50.00 and works fine. If your competing maybe you would like a higher dollar optic, but for Hiking or Target Range it's all I need.

I have a TruGlo on my HiPoint carbine. I couldn't see putting a $75-$100 red dot on a $175 rifle
