Anyone have good or bad experience with these guys.

I am looking at getting an M1A Loaded for my post-deployment gift, and they have the best price i have found online.

Thanks for the the help

I have never had any problems dealing with Bud's, though I do understand, some people, have had a hard time getting through to them by phone. (only time I called with a question it was answered promptly, both phone and question)

I just bought from them, they where very good to me!
They received my payment on the 22nd and my local FFL had the gun at 10:am on the 25th. Can't ask for anything more! I sent a postal money order to take advantage of the cash pricing.

i remember reading some post (i think on this forum) about getting guns "other than described" and guns that looked used etc... - might try searching for old post

I've bought some rifles from them, including an M1A

Good service, although, last itme, it took about 5 days before it shipped.

I'll order again

I'd have absolutely no issue ordering from Bud's again. Service is fast and inexpensive. As for the idea they ship guns "other than as described".....never heard of that myself, and personally don't think they'd be the TOP online gun dealer if they made a habit of sending out firearms other than what was ordered

I have purcahsed at least 5 firearms from them for for the past 2 years. I have been VERY happy with their servies. They routinely email you their process form approved of financing to shipping. For handguns, if you place an order before the end of the day, it will get to you in 2 business days. I placed an order for a Sig PRo last Monday late afternoon, and I picked it up Thursday. Long guns will take up to a week to have it delivered. Otherwise, I would order from them again.

I am hoping to get an M1A1 also but not till next year.

The gun I ordered from them arrived pretty promptly (2-3 days, IIRC). However, I did not get the email with the tracking number, nor did the tracking number show up in my online order info, until 2 days after the gun had arrived. It was no big deal, the receiving FFL called me immediately when it arrived, but I would have liked to have had the tracking info sooner.

I'm willing to write that one off as a hiccup in the order system, and will order from them again, but I will hope the tracking number is more punctual next time.

In my experiences they have been a pleasure to work with, I highly doubt you will be disappointed

Underneath all of their pictures it says, "*Please Note!! Many of our pictures are stock photo's provided to us by the manufacturer and do not necessarily represent the actual item being purchased. Please verify this picture accurately reflects the product described by the title and description on this page before you place your order."

99% of the time the pictures are exactly what you are ordering, but just make sure by doing a google search of something. I don't blame Bud's for people who don't double check what they are ordering and then complain.

Bud's is excellent but since this is a "post-deployment gift" (I think we all do those) then you should go through Bud's Police Supply since you rate the Law Enforcement pricing on firearms as a member of the military.

I have bought from Bud's Police Supply online several times and they are excellent to work with. The only thing is that you must send in your credentials so they can verify that you are in the military. If you send a check instead of paying with a card it probably takes about two weeks to get your firearm to your dealer.

They are good folks but, as above, check what you're ordering against the photo. I specifically ordered a firearm based on the photo and it was not of what I ordered - they added the disclaimer shortly thereafter.

read the fine print. what you see in pictures may not be what you ordered. If want to cancel because they cant tell you for sure what you ordered is a 25% penalty. will i buy anything from them again . never in this life time very bad experience

Looking at some of the comments they've left on gunbroker makes me not want to do business with them..

Bought a Rifle and Pistol through them while overseas.
They were waiting for me when I got home.
If you get lucky at a gun show, you may be able to find it a little less expensive, but I am not going to quibble for a few cents less.
Good service. Usually have what I am looking for.
Good service, fair prices, and after visiting thier new "warehouse" store, I am a happy customer.
I will say this You may not always get the "best price" but it will be a fair price and one of the most reasonable prices around. The money I might have saved somewhere else I would have only spent of fuel.

I have purchased several firearms from them in the past few years. All GOOD interactions both price and product. They deal in volume so are sometimes slow to respond to an individual question but always did answer mine. As far as problems, there are always going to be problems, but with the volume of sales they handle IMHO they are good to go. Be aware when you can't touch the product it is always buyer beware however. Just ask for pictures of the ACTUAL product being sold. This advice is for ALL long distance transactions before committing to ANY purchase.

Many retailers hate them because they sell stuff cheaper than the retailer can buy the product for. I saved another ??% once just because I called them and asked a question about a product. Buy the time I got off the phone there was a discount coupon in my email. I would not hesitate buying from them.

I've bought a few things from them with my only complaint being that they sometimes take their time on shipping

Never bought a gun from them. My LGS has almost always met or beat their prices. However, I did buy some magazines and a Ka-Bar from them at Christmas. No complaints.

I recently bought a gun from them and would do it again...
but, their prices are a cash price, so, I paid with a check. It took 3 days for the check to be received, then they wait 5 full days to allow it to clear. Then, they waited another 3 days to ship it (and it WASN'T shipped overnight like I thought they had to be). So, good price, but a lengthy wait (just about 2 full weeks).
