I noticed Bud's now has a make an offer option on a lot of guns. Anyone used it yet? If this has already been talked about I apologize

I tried it yesterday, but they only respond during business hours so I should find out tomorrow. I'll update when I find out

Yup I tried it a couple of days ago and my offer was accepted. I actually changed my mind and let the offer expire because I decided I wanted to go with another gun (handgun) instead.

The gun (used) is still for sale surprisingly. I would have never thought it would have lasted this long because the price without the "make an offer" is already a pretty good price IMO and the price I offered made it a great price.

You left out the useful info:

What was the gun?How much were they asking?

His much did you offer?

Since you passed on it, there's no reason to be secretive. And even if you might want it later, just leave out which gun it was.

I did get a reply back today with a counter offer but chose not to accept it. The gun was a used Savage 12 vlp. They were asking $779 for it. I offered $700 and they countered with $739.

I just made an offer on a new rifle that works out to be about 5% below what they were asking for cash ($385 vs $404), and they refused it.

Used Glock 27 Gen 4 with night sights.

479 was list and I offered 449 that was accepted.

A Glock 19 gen 3 with holster & night sights (new) was listed for $541. My offer of $526 was declined, but my offer of $531 was accepted. At first I thought just #$10 off wasn't a big deal, but a new Glock 19 wth night sights for $531 seemed like a nce deal.

I offered a trade in to help me purchase a more expensive firearm and got a crap offer. It was a NIB shotgun and the offer was about 25% of what they were selling them for.

So is they're "contact us" options. They make it almost impossible to get a general message to their support system, so since I cant send them an email expressing my displeasure with them, I decided to do it here.

I had been eye balling a rifle for a couple of weeks now, the price was $614.00 and I had been waiting to see if we hit our quarterly goal at work, so I would have the extra money from my bonus to buy it. Friday night, I decide to get it, just to find out it went up to $637.00. Dang!!
I notice at that point, they have a new "make offer" option, so decide to try it out.

My first offer is $600, it pops up a msg saying offer to low, so I come back with $615 and again I get the same msg and that I only have 3 try's left. I go $625 and $630 and still the same result. At this point I am pissed off now and dont want to do any business with them. The whole point of the make offer in my opinion, is to make the buyer feel good about the purchase and make him think he got a decent deal, but this is rediculous! $7.00 difference and I still wasnt close to the acceptable offer price on a $637.00 rifle. This is just plain stupid!

Bud's usually has the best prices around and I have had good luck with them, but this really soured me and I may not do anymore business with them.

Rant over!

sour you could say.

i did the option to trade my gun for some of theres. even tho the gun i wanted to get rid of is worth 100 more then the guns i wanted to get, they refused. And made me give a dollar range

turns out that if you put a dollar range to sell it to them, they will not trade you anything for that gun. They wont even use the valuethe decide upon as a down payment. send a money order to you and you waste a week while they sell out.
