Check the magazine in the 1911. Could have chambering problems if it is like the spare.

HK,

I saw a Mod 10 HB 4" at a GS this past weekend, $350, I'm going to pick it up next GS in 3 weeks, if he still has it, then off to Smith for a beautiful blue job like yours. One beautiful piece my man!

Interesting, you're correct Homer......

I initially bought a pair of Round Conversion grips by mistake and they told me to return them for an exchange.

It took a couple of weeks, so I can only guess that they made these special to be nearly exactly like the round one's I initially ordered and added a medallion as an extra......You can add the medallions as an add on but for the life of me I can't find that on their website either right now. (Perhaps it is an option during the checkout process as I didn't go that far.)

Hmmmmm. Feel free to copy my picture and send it to them telling them what you'd like if you can't find a stock pair you like.

I asked Altamont about the curious missing S&W medallions. They responded they were out of stock, expecting them in a couple weeks and pulled them from the website until they replenished their supply. In case anyone was wondering.

HKGuns, those grips look like factory S&W Target grips, even though they are not. If you have ever handled S&W Targets, do they feel similar? I never really liked the feel of Targets, but those grips look amazing.

Yes Homer, they feel very similar. I have a set of those on my Model 29 and I really like the way they feel. If there is any difference, the S&W target grips are a bit larger on the bottom and swell out a bit more if you can picture what I mean. I've learned that Altamont makes grips and stocks for a number of OEM's....They are really good to deal with also.....
