I was browsing Bud's website and came across a used Ruger that loked to have spent the first part of its life as a safe queen. After several hours of research on here, youtube, the ruger website, and blogs/reviews I decided it was time to hit I75 and take a trip to Bud's new store. I will say that if you live local to Bud's you need to see thier new operation, they have more than double thier old floor space. As i had hoped after some negotiating with the staff I persuaded them to take my Taurus Tracker 44 in trade for the Ruger.

Chalk it up to personal preferance, differance in caliber, or the make and model of the gun, the GP100 it leaps and bounds a better shooting and better handling firearm than the Taurus. Ive ran some standard remington 125 semi jacket wadcutters and a few of rounds of Buffalo Bore 180 grain hard cast through it so far and recoil seems very manageable compared to heavy loaded .44 mag rounds.

This is my first Ruger product and I was defiently impressed. I think I made a good trade.

It is a blued 6" barrel with a fiber optic front site.

Hi,

You make a excellent decision on the GP100. I have one and love the revolver. I feel the GP100 is the best value in a medium size 357 revolver. I have used only 357 rounds in every weight without any issues.

Enjoy, yours,
