My fear with the J&G model 64’s is that it may not be just a replacement hammer. A lot of police turn-ins have also been worked on inside to prevent the neutered hammer from being cocked.
I just received one of the Bud's guns yesterday - M10-10 roundbutt, dirty in & out, worn finish (grips really sad), orange surface staining inside (tore it down & thoroughly cleaned & lightly lubed it), fair amount of use showing in the cylinder stop cuts and a well-rung cylinder, a few pitty-areas in the cylinders, but the timing was o.k & the bore mirror bright. Honestly, I don't think I would have paid $340 (my total cost) for it face to face, but now that it's cleaned up and after I put a 13# trigger return spring in it, it will do just fine as a boat/knockabout gun. May go shoot it tomorrow after I load up some 38s.
One offshoot of the deal was that when I showed my CWP to the dealer to skip the phone check, turns out it expired in January. Re-taking the class next Saturday...
Late comment: I got the pistol out & looked at it in the daylight, and honestly the bluing isn't that bad - the usual muzzle wear, but no scratches or dings. It was so dirty with caked on little spots that looked like corrosion I never thought to re-look after a serious cleaning. I will try to get some pictures & post them.

The single action sear is an integral part of the hammer on S&W revolvers. Changing the sear face of the trigger is not what a S&W certified armourer would normally do. Anyway, this is a factory S&W D/A only hammer.
The biggest difference in between the M64 and the M10 being currently offered is that the M64 is using MIM parts.
We received the three revolvers, all are in good shape. Two are 64-6'es of which one is good+ and one good to very good condition, the third gun is a 64-5 and is in very good+ condition.
I put the service grips on the 64-5 but besides, that is the condition that the guns came in. I am very happy with Sporting Arms! For under $240 shipped and FFL fees paid, we got very nice S&W revolvers without the internal locks! With some TLC they will be as good as new, just with a better action.
