My experience with these bulged cases is from buying once fired range brass. Occasionally I see these bulges. All of these cases had a funny looking mark in the primer from the firing pin. It was a circle with a straight line intersecting it on one side. When I sized them the bulge was still there, plunked OK, and I have reloaded and shot these many times. I traded some of this bulged brass that was small primer to a friend for some large primer brass. When he reloaded these and shot them in his Ruger SR45 it locked the slide up so tight he broke the extractor off to get the slide open. They are something to be careful with if you do reload them.
