Hey all,

Wondering if any others have used the Bully Adapter for the Hornady Bullet Feeder Die and if so, what's your opinion on it? Performance, etc. Seems to work pretty well with the Lee Tube Feeder. When one tube is empty, just 'twist' and the next tube of 30 drops, and is ready to go! Not really a time saver because I still have to load the tubes but after that, I don't have to place a bullet on the brass.
Total spent on the die/bully adapter/tube set was only $80. That's a crap-load cheaper that the Hornady bullet feed system at $400 or so.

I have not used the Bully Adapter but I do use the Hornady Bullet feeder dies in .40 and .45.

They save me a good bit of time and they perform well.

Grabbing a bullet, orientate it nose up and dropping it into a hole, a hundred times while not loading a single round is not going to save you much time vs doing the same thing while you load.

The part that makes case and bullet feeders less work and faster are collators. They are also the expensive part of the feed system but if your a DIY type you can make your own.

Absolutely true....but for the many folks who either can't swing the cost of a collator nor do they have the talent or the time to make their own....for them this option is a godsend.

Consider that sometimes wives want attention, even if it means watching what THEY want on TV.....and they want you in the same room....maybe on the same couch. Many have found it palatable to load a dozen tubes full of bullets for the NEXT reloading session while watching...."Dancing with the Stars!"......you can even add some "oohs" and "ahhs" and still load away.:D

The object is to have enough bullets loaded in tubes during such "perfectly safe" double tasking, so that the next loading session is just as fast as if you spent the big bucks......and there really is an advantage once you have tubes loaded........you don't have to re-set-up the collater for that caliber change!....and you can pick when to get around to that loading session.....the tubes stay filled.

I understand that, my wife actually bought me my first 1050 so we would have more "snuggle" time.

That lead to the most expensive boxing device I was involved in creating. However it to is also temperamental and doesn't work exactly the same way I would.

Yeah, she is a new surprise every day.

To keep it reloading focused, when she was an infant, I made my first automated reloader and when it was running she would just stand at the door and watch it run, once she got a little older.

Brings back memories.....my 1st great granddaughter was born in August. I got to raise 3 daughters and 2 sons.....they added another 19 to the family not counting their spouses. I do recommend a big family:).......so when you get really old you have a better chance that someone will take care of you and your wife when the times comes! ....even if you become a grump.

Advice from one who's been there, jmorris, my friend,....pretty soon that little doll is going to start talking your head off.....and unless you close that door it will continue the rest of your life.......and becomes one of life's greatest blessings for both of you. You have a lot of talents sir, develop the most important ones with her.....listening and patience! She deserves nothing less. Family is everything. Reloading......not even in the same class.

Now that this thread is totally highjacked, ....sorry O.P......kinda.:)

I use one, pretty much as pictured. I consider it an asset and will continue. Once automating case and bullet feed, not to mention primers, I like being able to just pull the handle and supervise all the stations.
