Bushmaster Carbon 15--why or why not?

Is there a compelling reason to get a Carbon 15 when the price is about the same as a similar AR15 from Bushmaster?

Never handled one, but I'll relay what I've heard.

Biggest plus: Lighter weight, and no need to worry about ozidation.

Biggest Minus: Apparently, the feed ramp (also made of C-15) gets gouged out over a period of time, driving rounds into a pit rather than the barrel.

The carbon 15 has always struck me as more of something to have fun with than as a serious tool.
