Bushnell scope question

I wonder how far back did they stop making the sportview scope 3x9x38MM scope by bushnell and marked made in japan.
I ask only because i came across one at the shop new never mounted,I did have one way way back that was mounted on a custom springfield and still going strong 30+ plus years

I don't know but I have a 3-9x40 sportview scope made in japan on a shotgun that is at least 20-25 years old.

I've got a 3-9x32 sportview made in Japan..always wonder how much better quality went into it. Had it on a mini 14 in mid 70's...been in vault since.

I did purchase the scope but it was a 3x9x32 MM made in japan glass is clear ,clear excellent shape $32.00
from the marking it looks like it was made in 1981 with scope covers
