I have the chance through a rewards program to get either a bushnell legend ultra hd rifle scope or a bushnell trophy xlt rifle scope. Both are 3-9 x 40. Are either of these any good? Odds are they would end up on a 30-06 or a Swiss K31. Thanks

I have several Bushnell scopes , they are serviceable scopes. the Elite models are really good. . if you have trouble with one box it up and send it to them they usually will send you a new scope no questions asked. I think they charge $15 for the new scope!! I have done this several times and always got a new scope. you can't go wrong.

I got my first-ever look at Bushnell's product line at SHOT. To sum it up: they have some exceptional products in their line-up, along with some more average stuff. They produce to price points -- the same production line can produce a Toyota or a Lexus -- the question is what price point are they targeting. Same thing here.

The 'elite' branded products I saw were outstanding, and were competitive with top-end glass from other manufacturers (at comparable prices as well.) I don't know where the 'ultra' designation is in their line-up, but my guess is that it's going to be an entirely satisfactory optic.

I wouldn't worry about it at all.

XLT from what i see is a nice scope, i have a 3X9 butcant decide what its going to have underneth it. clear edge to edge.

Derek just summed it up. I have a Bushnell ET4305 and love it. It is mounted on a 50bmg and handles it very well. As far as the Legend Ultra and Trophy XLT, both are fine scopes... You can buy better, but also can buy a lot worse...
