Already ordered and about 2 weeks away from getting it.

RRA a4 mid length (have a rear sight before I buy an m2 aimpoint)
6 postion tac stock
Chrome lined barrel
Hogue grip
Surefire m85 tac rail (will be gettin a surefire 910a I think, as I like the p115c I have for my HK USP .40 full size)

Anyways, I've done my homework and realize this will be a good rifle, but anyone out there that has a rock river, I would be much obliged for info on the durability/jam rate/overall satisfaction with it, thanks! :)

I have the entry tactical. Great fit and finish and highly accurate. Would recommend to anyone. Never had any jamming issues but I do keep my firearms very clean. Good choice, you can't go wrong with RRA.

I've got the ET too. Great gun. I've only put around 400 rds through it. No failures of any kind. I think your gonna love your gun when you get it:) . I myself can't wait until they come out with their .308 line of rifles.

I only have a receiver on mine. It's finish is excellent and it fit extremely tight to the upper. Makes it an accurate shooter but I have to work at it to take it down for cleaning which I do not mind.

well, my AR's not 100% RRA, but my upper is... have yet to have any kind of problem with it. i think the fact that they got the DEA contract a few years back says it all, they're solid and here to stay.

I got an RRA upper for my RRA lower that was so tight that they told me to hit it with a mallet to get it to seat... and if that didn't work, to take a file to the rear lug. (and they said this sort of tightness was intentional..??)

Needless to say, ALL my RRA 9mm parts are back at the factory right now....

I've got a RRA Elite CAR-15. I wish they'd offered chrome-lined barrels when I bought it, but other than that it's been great so far. Accurate, reliable, and eats through Wolf ammo without any problems, which saves me a ton of money. The only modifications I've made is to replace the standard flash hider with a Phantom comp/flash suppressor, and replaced the front sight with a gas block rail.

I will have 1.5 RRA's. One will be 100% RRA lower SBR registered with an RRA 10.5" upper, the other will be an RRA <16" 9mm upper. I am very impressed by their product. had a varmint upper that was way more accurate than me, sold it to fund my SBR projects.

A few years ago when I was shooting Highpower, the throat on my Bushmaster finally eroded to the point where accuracy was lost at 500 and 600 yards.
While the Bushy upper was being re-barreled I bought a RRA National Match upper.
I have been nothing but happy with it.:)

Built my AR with a RRA mid-length, chrome-lined A4 upper. I've got nothing but good things to say about it. Great finish and perfect reliability so far with a minimum of cleaning.

One thing you might also put on your shopping would be the RRA two-stage match trigger. Makes a great rifle even better.

RRA NM here . .nothing but good things to say about it. I wouldn't hesistate to buy another one of their products . . .actually considering their LAR this fall. (.308 AR)

Regards,
Dave

I also have an RRA A4 midlength, with chrome and a 5.56 chamber. I had the barrel turned down to a lightweight profile because the HB added nothing but weight, for my purposes.

The gun has 3200 rounds on it, and two malfunctions. Both at carbine class, and both apparently ammo related (case separation with Q3131A).

I'm generally satisfied with it.

Any company can get a gov't contract for an item that meets the specification and who makes the lowest bid.

If you were to get one of the DEA contract guns I'm sure it would perform well. An AR-15 the rest of us can buy does not have to meet the governments specifications or really any specification other than the companies.

So RRA having a government contract means they have the capability of meeting a government specification and nothing more.

I have been very pleased with my RRA ARs. They have all been to at least a couple of carbine classes. Two FTFs at a carbine class that was ammo based (Black Hills and Remington, dead rounds).

I have the green 16" upper and RRA lower, Sully fixed stocks, single point slings, Aimpoint ML2, with Troy BUIS, a PRI handle. That's how I rock.:D

If you've ever read the requirements that the DEA place on the rifle contract you'd be pretty impressed with RRA.:) Not knocking the other brands, Bushy, Armalite, Stag, Colt, DPMS, are usually great too, I just prefer RRA. And apparently more and more do every day. Just look at their sales figures.

RRA having a government contract
The reason they are so popular. Other than that I really don't see why they are worshipped over other top brands. The reason I didn't buy one is the lack of chrome lined barrel. Accuracy , reliabilty, etc are found in Colt, Bushy, Armalite , etc also. So what gives?

Uh, they do have chrome-lined barrels, I know mine has. Like I said earlier to ME their fit and finish is a little better and they guarantee good accuracy and a lifetime warranty and up until recently they were a good bit cheaper than Bushy, Armalite and Colt. Your opinion may be different. Since word has got out on their quality they are being priced with Bushy and Armalite, and of course Colt directs their product to people who like spending more than they have to!:neener:

The requirements for the contract nor their ability to fill that contract are not questioned. I merely said applying that fact to their commercial civilian offerings cannot be said without facts supporting it. RRA stating they make their commercial civilian offerings to that contracts requirements, within the limits of a semi-auto weapon, would be a fact.
