I'm trying to find a good source for purchasing cast bullets over the internet. I primarily load for 357/38, 44 mag,45LC,454casull and 460SW mag. For the 454 and the 460, i need the gas check bullets, but i guess I'm just looking in all the wrong places. Any help?

Beartoothbullets.com is all you need if a premium gas checked hardcast is what you're after.

Marshall Stanton is the owner, and does all the work himself. He'll email you any load data you need for his bullets, or you can call him on the phone. I've been very pleased shooting Beartooth in my 45-70.

There can be a bit of a wait for shipping as he's in high demand, but he won't charge your card until they ship.

There's alot of others out there as well that are making good bullets but Beartooth has really done me right.

Many of us here use Missouri Bullet Company. Brad, the owner, is a member here. They provide a great product and even better service. You wont be dissapointed, thats for sure!

I agree with the advice concerning Beartooth Bullets. If you need high quality gas checked bullets with a very wide variety of weights and shapes and custom sizing, it's the place to go.

If you want better prices, but still good quality, Missouri Bullet Company is hard to beat. They don't have gas checked and not as wide a variety as Beartooth, but they are very good. In that same category, be sure to check out Penn Bullets as well. Good stuff, reasonable prices and very helpful for both those places.

You can get good bullets from all those mentioned above. I always use Beartooth Bullets when I buy cast bullets (If I don't have a mold to suit ny needs). I have found the product to be of top quality and great folks to deal with (plus I can get .44 cal. bullets from 240 gr. up to 405 gr. and .429" to .432")

I have never used Missouri bullets, but have some good things about them. However for the past several years I have been using Laser-Cast bullets made by Oregon Trail. I have never had one of their bullets lead any of my handguns because of their hardness. They're available direct or though MidwayUSA. Oregon Trail will send sample bullets upon request. :)

Nothing wrong with a lasercast bullet. For the most part the bullet manufacturers all put out a great product, although some provide much better customer service than others. Missouri Bullets offerings in different hardnesses is just very nice, when you need it. Some wont need that flexibility, others require it.

Cant go wrong with MO BULLET !

As far as gas checks go, If I were going to heat 'em up that fast- I'd just use jacketed, FWIW.

As far as shipping goes- Brad and crew at Missouri Bullet have the best shipping plan on the planet, and even have bundles for extra savings.

gutterman,

I've had dealings with Missouri Bullet company. All my dealings have been very pleasant. They offer their bullets in three different hardness. Not being interested in gas check bullets I didn't notice if they are offered or not. Check their website. :)
