Buying my First AR-15

I think im going to get a DPMS Panther Lite 16 as my first AR-15. Being in college money is a little tight and originally i was just going to buy a kit etc but i found one for $669.

Has anyone purchased anything from Atlantic Firearms and anyone have a Panther Lite 16?

Good choice, we have 3 DPMS's in the family and they are very good rifles and very accurate.

When you get it, make sure that your carrier key is staked properly. Otherwise buy some mil-spec magazines and use good ammunition.

And keep it properly lubed.

I've had my eye on that too. The price is sure tempting... But I'm gonna keep looking locally, as I dont want the hassle of ordering online and doing a FFL transfer.
