I got my C&R License today! Mailed it in back on the 5th I believe and today is the 29th!

So what are some "must haves"?

I plan on initially getting a M91/30 with the hex receiver, a M44, and a K-31.

A Mauser would be nice one day.

Also, are there any readily available C&R guns other than the usual? I guess what I mean is that stuff that is listed on AIM, jgsales, or Classic Arms? Mosin-Nagants, Mausers, and such?

Thanks!

You're doomed now.......get a second job.

Personally I just had to order a Makarov. There was something really nice about having a handgun simply mailed to your house.

Made me feel all warm and fuzzy, like there was still hope :)

Don't forget a CZ-52. :)

Also, are there any readily available C&R guns other than the usual?

There are tons of readily available ones aside from the usual, but most of them aren't cheap.

My deepest sympathies, with so many goodies out there waiting to be bought you are on your way to the poorhouse:)

COMPNOR you just saved yourself a pile of dough, if you're as greedy as I am. Like TexasRifleman said, gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling when your first pistol arrives at your door BY MAIL!!!

If you want to quickly check what's available to C&R holders, just get on either of the major online gun auctions. Check their menues when you use their search engine. Both have a C&R ONLY link. One I think is just marked RELIC.

FIRST time around just hit search all categories. But after you've looked that over, IF you want to stay up on what's coming in you need to trim your search by asking for just those guns listed in the last 48 hours. (I check 'em every couple of days.

For the guns you KNOW you're interested in you can use either site's SAVED SEARCH feature. It notifies you EVERY DAY of what they've got currently listed for that particular gun, IF ANY.

Good luck with the hunt, and have fun 'til you make it to the Poor House!

Congrats, Compnor.

If you're gonna have a 91/30 and an M44, might as well have an M38 to round things out. And, of course, a Nagant revolver to keep them company. And a TT33 to bring you up to date for WWII. That should get you started.

As far as other C&R stuff, keep in mind that anything 50 years or more old is eligible. That's a LOT of guns!

Enjoy your discount @ Brownells also.

Don't forget Midway's. People say it isn't as good, but if you find something there that you can't find anywhere else, you may as well get a discount on it! ;) There is a thread from a few weeks ago in GD where a bunch of people chimed in as to where you can get a "dealer" discount.

Don't forget the rest of the stuff. Not just guns. Register your license with Grafs, Midway, etc.... They give discounts as well.

Congratulations! I remember how excited I was when my FFL arrived. I bought six guns the first day....

Join the CMP. Or better yet, don't:evil:. Save all that cheaper ammo and those M1's and carbines for the rest of us.

If I'm not mistaken, the All Colt .22 Automatic pistols like the Woodsman, huntsman, etc.. are C&R arms.
