C&R Question

As a C&R holder, can someone from out of state send me a modern handgun for repair? I'm not a licenced gunsmith, its just a type of gun that I am very familiar with and often do repair/fix-up work on.

I think with it being a "modern" gun that it cannot be done, but am wondering if there might be any way around it.

If the gun were a C&R type, I know it can it be sent to me, but can I return it?

No. Gunsmiths must have an FFL to receive guns from out of state and a C&R, as the ATF stresses over and over, is only for personal collecting, not any sort of business and only C&R qualified guns may be received by a C&R holder.
