C&R Revolvers

What are some of your favorite revolvers that qualify for a Curio and Relic designation, over 50 years old? Pictures of these oldies but goodies would be appreciated.

Here is one of my neater 1895 Nagants - made in 1944. They were a great buy for some time - as low as $65 inc a lanyard, holster, cleaning rod, and screwdriver. Not as plentiful now, but still a great buy - especially if you shoot the proper 7.62 x 38r ammo, whether it is the now hard to find Russian target, Serbian 'Hot Shot', or Italian Fiocchi ammo. Neat piece of Victorian engineering - designed by the Belgian brothers Nagant. Sadly, they have been re-arsenaled so many times, the innards drag a bit making the SA/DA trigger pull >20 lb. Still fun!

PS Those are modified .32-20 cases with 100gr LDEWCs, really homebrew ammo, and a Victorinox Smurf (blue) Farmer SAK.

C&R Rvolvers

Among some of the most beautiful handguns on the planet are the big old "N" frame Colt revolvers. I have one in .38-40. But plenty of cartridges that started life as black powder, 44-40, 32-20, .44 special, 45 long colt etc. Just like owing your first Mercedes!

I have a WWI S&W N-frame that is fun to shoot, but this WWII gem is perhaps the most accurate revolver I have. It can do one-hole groups when I rest it. And it's trigger action is sweeter than most modern custom jobs. This is a US Navy marked .38 Special "Victory" from 1942:

I've got an obligatory Nagant Revolver, but never have taken a picture of it. Gotta get around to that one of these days, and I need to redo the ones of this one too. The gun looks much better in real life.
