There was an AP article in the local paper today regarding the killing of the two young camp counselors here in CA. The article was very vague, but it mentioned that two men had turned in their handguns to police for testing. The article quoted one of the men as saying the only reason the police came after him is because his handguns are registered.
There was no other information in the article, and I'm very curious regarding this. Is this person a true suspect, or was he (donning tinfoil hat) just some innocent camper in the area that was investigated and found to be a gun owner through registration records, and thus became a suspect?
Anyone have any more detailed info on this?
