After waiting for almost a year for an M1A Scout from Impact Guns, I finally found a NIB one online for a fair price and ordered it this morning. A search on what makes them CA legal left me confused so I called Springfield and was informed by a nice lady there that all Scouts are CA legal since they ship with a 10-round magazine and a muzzle brake rather than a flash hider/suppressor. The muzzle brake is removable on ALL Scout models too so there are options for those of us that don't live in California!
This may be common knowledge to many here, but after searching this forum and other online sights, it wasn't clear at all. Hopefully someone will find this information useful. If the nice lady at Springfield is incorrect (I would hope not) then feel free to point that out.
