so the Nikon was good except for the size. i have the Bushnell trs 25 on my ar15 but my astigmatism does not like it, i see a nice big horse shoe lol. and what paint did u use.I initially did some load development for it using a Nikon fixed 3x, but I wanted something a bit more compact and lighter, so I have a Dagger Defense reflex sight on order. Should be an 8lb rifle with the sling, full magazine, and sight attached.
i am working on a marlin that i can blue at work but i still feel i need to paint it like it was before, i would do cerakote we have 100s of colors at work. the rifle is posted in the rifle country thread i would like to here what u would do paint or bluing since u like playing bob Ross like i doThe Nikon P223 is a great little scope! I have astigmatism as well and had no issues with it. I do have issues with most red dot type sights, however, but the one I chose has been "OK" for me.
I just use regular Krylon camo paint from WalMart. It holds up fine and if it doesn't, it's no big deal. Seems to last about as long as those expensive cerakote jobs.
It's a .450 Bushmaster built as a woods carbine, so I decided it wouldn't hurt to make it look the part...
