Guys, do these tests on the G19 include loading the mag with sand?
Sand is worse. No, just dropping it 500 feet out of a helicopter and blowing it up.
Sand is worse.
Are you kidding? A Glock 19 would drive itself to the range, throw itself in the mud, and then empty its magazine into a 1.0" group at 50 yards. Then it would kick Chuck Norris' ass for fun.
Yes. And you will have a gun with 2x the capacity, a better trigger, and a more effective and available round.
That gets done every day in the mideast. Worst environment in the world, tied for first place with saltwater and beach sand. And they still work. Been there, done that.Guys, do these tests on the G19 include loading the mag with sand? I was certain after he rolled the open mag in the sand, GAME OVER! But no, GAME ON!
Let's see a Makarov after a 500' drop. Then you can tell us that sand is worse.Sand is worse.
Sand is worse because sand being jammed into the gun is a credible scenario. Guns flying out of helicopters at 500' ain't a credible scenario.Let's see a Makarov after a 500' drop. Then you can tell us that sand is worse.
One of my glocks broke after a 3ft drop..No, just dropping it 500 feet out of a helicopter and blowing it up.
This sucks, but I am a fan of facts. One of my glocks broke after a 3ft drop..
Oh yeah, I wasn't doubting you at all. I meant I'm glad you posted that fact. The notion of Glock Perfection and that they are some sort of unstoppable and indestructible item is silly to me. They make a good utilitarian gun, but indestructible they are not. No gun is, but some may do better than others, but luck has a lot to do with it.Fact enough for you?
To me a torture test is shooting the living hell out of a gun and seeing if it will function, not beating it up and then trying to draw conclusions after a single example is tested and abused.
A hairline crack. What is that first photo?
