There is a reason behind Glock popularity. Realiability and quality control- this is kept in check. And the price is modest compare to other tier ONE pistol brand.

Dont have one so I cant take the poll but my coworkers went back to glock for a new ejector. It never had any issues but some did. Google it up for lots more info.

After something like 6k rounds through it, my gen3 Glock 19 finally threw a piece of brass at my face the other day. Then it happened again that same day. I didn't know this ejector issue was contagious. :)

Other than a few issues stemming from worn out feed lips on aftermarket mags, I've only had 2 stovepipes while shooting lukewarm cast reloads.

Gen4 19 owner and I quit counting rounds at around 5500. Never a problem.

I do have the Glock supplied recoil spring, but it is still in my tool bench. I'm running one of the problem children and can't get it to have issues.

3 IDPA competition over the course of two months with no cleaning or lubing...100 rounds per match and around 300-400 practice rounds between matches. That's over 1000 rounds without so much as a wipe down (and one of my practice sessions was outside in the rain with no shelter). It just keeps running. I wanted to see how long it would keep that up, but I cleaned it up last night while I was installing sights on my new g34.

2 G19's.

A 1998 G19 that has been absolutely flawless over many rounds.

A 2013 G19 Gen 3 that is back to Glock after 132 rounds. One bolt over base FTF coupled with erratic extraction and brass being hurled at my face was unacceptable.

My issue doesn't appear to be isolated.

My Gen 4 has 18,000 rounds since July of '11.

Within the first 900 rounds I had 12 stovepipes and 20% of brass to the face, left, right, up, etc.

Installed and aftermarket extractor, guide rod, extractor depressor and 13 lb. recoil spring and got 3 stovepipes in 2,100 rounds or so, and 10% brass to the face, left, right, etc.

Sent the gun back to Glock, and got a new extractor and ejector.

Since the trip to Glock, I have about 15K through it and I've only recently started receiving a few cases to the forehead (1 in 300) in the last 2K rounds, but no more FTEs so far.

My Gen4 Glock 19 has only 1,500 rounds through it and not a single FTE or FTF. I envy how much some of the responders shoot
