I want something to keep my spare mags from just being loose, ideally something I could also strap to a rig or battle belt; but don't know what's quality gear and what's cheap stuff for wearing to some weekend airsoft event.

As far as selecting quality gear, a good place to start is to only buy American or European. For pistol mag pouches, I like either the Tactical Tailor Magna Mag pouches or G Code Softshell Scorpions, depending on the application.

I've shared these lists on this forum a number of times before, but you might find these useful. These are lists of gear manufacturers. One is a list of American companies, the other is a list of non American companies that I know make decent gear.

Depends on your needs. I like BFG ten speeds and find they are good enough for subgun mags even, but if you want flaps over the top, many more choices come up.

I use this pouch in a single size for my carry spare magazine. Fits double and single stacks. Has held up well for a few years now.

Based on this thread I ordered a couple High Speed Gear Taco mag pouches. I'm very pleased, expensive, but are great quality. I'll be ordering more in the future.
