Can I sell multiple handguns (of my own) out-of-state FFL without any ATF paperwork?

I have 4 handguns that I personally own that an out-of-state friend wants to buy from me. I live in NJ, and he in PA. We have tentatively agreed to use an FFL in PA with which he is familiar.

1. Can I transfer all four at once to an FFL in PA?

2. Must I (or the FFL) report the transaction to the ATF as dealers do when an individual purchases more than one handgun within a five-day period?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

My understanding is that all you, yourself, do is ship (or carry) the handguns to the FFL. Other than communication and money, you're done. The FFL and the buyer then do all the federally-mandated actions.

As for the five-day thing, I don't know. I guess you could always ship/carry one per week?

The FFL who transfers the handguns to the buyer will have to report the multiple handgun transaction to the ATF and to the local/state police:

18 USC 923:
(3) (A) Each licensee shall prepare a
report of multiple sales or other dispositions
whenever the licensee sells or
otherwise disposes of, at one time or
during any five consecutive business
days, two or more pistols, or revolvers,
or any combination of pistols and revolvers
totaling two or more, to an unlicensed
person. The report shall be
prepared on a form specified by the Attorney
General and forwarded to the office
specified thereon and to the
department of State police or State law
enforcement agency of the State or local
law enforcement agency of the local
jurisdiction in which the sale or other
disposition took place, not later than the
close of business on the day that the
multiple sale or other disposition occurs.
