Can there be too many

I don't have this anguish, I buy what I want, sell what I don't want, and add as I see fit to do so.

Already have the training. Plan on doing more training. Already have the ammo. I also plan on getting more ammo. No need for me to sell a gun or two or twenty for a problem financing things that isn't problem with me.

Life is too short to fuss about it, enjoy yourself and the freedoms you have to be your own person and own as little as much as you desire to, don't even need a reason even. And remember, not all guns have to be for super serious reasons. Some can be just for fun and not feel like our practice sessions are a second or a third job that drags us down to stop going as much.

“The list” always gets shorter BUT it seems I add 3-4 guns for every one on the official want-list. Truthfully I feel like most of my real wants are long-since covered. A few years ago there were still major platforms and types I hadn’t experienced. Now it’s down to the esoteric or the really expensive. At this point I buy what seems like a good deal/know I’ll never see another AND it’s a good deal, and start thinking every so often that the stash is getting to the point where I really ought to consider selling a few on principle.

Yeah that’s a good idea. I have dozens. I could definitely sell 3. To help pay for the 5 I just bought. Yeah, I’ll make a point to sell them… I’m pretty busy now, so, next month? And so it goes.

There is nothing out there that gets my motor pumping. I shoot. Lots of things. Deer, turkey, dove, squirrel, woodchuck, other varmints. Also, 22 light competition like BR50. Mainly trap with a short combo trap/skeet league thrown in. Cast bullet. Pins. Black powder (I was pretty good, back in the day) rifle, musket, trap, skeet.
That said, I have the means and equipment to do all the stuff listed. My problem is often which gun to pick for a specific sport. BR50, lets see, the Shaw/Jard, 10-22, the 455 Varmint, the old 52 Winchester?
Trap league this week, the faithful TB, the BT, the 3200, the M12?
Now, if my buddy Mike were to offer me his 788 30-30 which is a great cast bullet gun????
Or, if my younger son offered to trade me back my old Marlin 39 for whatever?
I'm 78. I don't have the time or inclination to work up something new when my old stuff isn't done developing yet.
Wish folks would quit posting these deep thought questions. Or not.

I don't have tons of guns, but I have more guns than I can afford to shoot already. Don't really have a need for any more, but I do tend to cycle through them quickly to try different things. A lot harder now that individual sales are illegal in my horribad state.
