Can you find .22lr?

I guess inventory varies by area. I saw several rows of 223 ammo and just about all popular calibers (pistol, rifle, and shotgun). It's just the 22LR that's missing. Looks like Walmart needs to re-evaluate their inventory management and distribution to minimize surplus of some and lack of other calibers.

Since the panic, I got three boxes (100) of Rem sub-sonic at Wally World. I got two bricks of subsnoic at Big R. The rest of 22 LR I bought online.

JumboJimbo, my LGS has the 325 auto match boxes for $25, you lucky duck.

Just picked up a 300 round box of CCI Mini-Mag HP's, 300 rounds (3 boxes of 100) of Mini-Mag RN, 200 rounds of Stingers, and 100 rounds of standard-velocity for good measure. In my area, it seems the .22lr is back baby!

The other day, Dunhams Sporting Goods near me had bricks (500rds) of Remington Thunderbolts for $23.99. They had at least 20 bricks on the shelf. I had never shot them before, but I thought "Wow, 5 cents a round!" so I bought a brick.

After shooting them, I now know why they're so cheap, and will never buy them again. I had about half a box left and happily sold it to someone for $5

I just picked up the double 500ct pack of winchester m22 $50.00 shipped right to my door. Hopefully it will run in my Marlin model 60, otherwise it will last a lifetime in my single shot!

Wanna get real jealous? :) I bought my p22 about 6 or 7 weeks ago. Fell in love with it, and started buying up all the .22 they'd let me buy.. This is what ive picked up in less than 2 months. Minus the few thousand I've put through it since. (this does not include my prepanic stash) 20150512_191643.jpg

Well prepared, sir! I've got 5,000 rounds in a 50 cal surplus ammo can. I'd like to fill up another one eventually…

I'd upload a picture but honestly I'm not very electronically-minded and have no clue how to get a picture from my iPhone to my computer to this forum. It doesn't help that my USB ports are broken due an unfortunate incident with some ginger-ale spillage

Dem Thunderbolts doe…

As mentioned in my earlier post this evening, those things were horrible out of my 22/45. Accuracy was decent, but they were noticeably dirtier. Every few rounds I felt tiny specks of hot lead (or something) hit my hand and wrist/forearm. Normally I never have any leading issues, and although these weren't too bad, considering that I never find any leading I was unhappy to find that the Thunderbolts left some in the barrel.

Never again.

How do they work for you Jimbo?

They work flawlessly in my p22, my 10/22 and my marlin 60. I haven't tried them in my 2245 yet. Ill let you know though. I should be going on friday and saturday. The bullets that always mess up in my guns is the golden bullet. Ive got about 1000 of those too. But i hate them, so they're not in the picture. They run in my Single six just fine though :)
