I know I originally posted the xdm as a choice, but now have decided that I want an all steel gun.
I have owned a m&p in the past and also a glock 19. Although great guns, just not what I want right now. I am trying to avoid my bad habits of the past. By that I mean that I have bought and then sold or traded so many guns over the past 8 years or so. I couldn't even add up the money lost. Always think I want something else that will be better.
I have now decided to take my time in my buying decision, and never sell or trade them.
I like the HI-Powers, but a little expensive for me at the moment.
Looked at a 92FS, did not like the plastic trigger, felt good, but not great.
I think I need to take a sick day from work and go rent some of these and see what happens.
Just looking for a 9mm for the range for some less expensive shooting
Then you want the CZ75B, although I won't sneeze at the CZ85 just because I have no experience with it. I've had two CZ75Bs (stainless and polycoated) and both have been solid shooters. Buy a Kadet kit for the CZ75B and have even cheaper shooting at the range.
Ihave a CZ75BD. If I were buying today for the range, I'd get the sa. I wanted the decocker for back packing, then discovered I never chamber a round in a bagged gun.
Get the Kadet kit. Shoot 200 9mm and 500 .22 at you range sessions and become a much better shot.
In looking for better accuracy I had BarSto put in a 5" barrel. Crazy accurate now.
I own three XDM40, XDM9, and XDM9 3.8. They work flawlessly, super capacity (16+1 in 40, 19+1 in 9), match grade barrel, good trigger, incredibly accurate, and lifetime warranty from Springfield.
