how bout someone who just turned 21 and can legally purchase a handgun now, just too damn bad for them... maybe they should have stocked up on the ammo knowing they would eventually get a gun
Mom or dad could have purchased the gun for junior, my parents bought guns for me before I was 21. I have bought ammo for guns I didn’t own at the time like my .454, I knew the ammo was a good price and I thought someday I might like to have one, so I bought it. I also own ammo and dies for a .221 Fireball, but no gun.
Not very THR there, Crazy
I guess my opinion doesn’t matter because it does not go with the general consensus, have you read very many of the threads here? Every time someone says they like a gun or caliber, someone else starts bashing the thing they said they like.
"You should really get into shooting, it is fun, you can defend yourself and those you care about, and exercise your rights....oh wait, never mind, it is too late for you to get into that, unless you bought ammo last year"
Can't speak for everyone but for most of the people I know who do not shoot, either they don’t have a range to shoot at, or they don’t have the money and time.
how bout the old timer who never thought he needed a gun until his grand-daughter was raped and murdered and he made the stressful decision to buy something to defend himself and his wife in the wake of the tragedy, just too damn bad for him? How bout the girl from the anti-gun household who was raped last week and is trying to defend herself now? too damn bad?
Once again I cant speak for everyone but where I live the "old timers" do have guns, my grandfather has not shot a gun in over 30 years, but he still has his guns and his dads guns.
I have a hard time believing that something as tragic as a rape or a rape/murder would sway a life long anti-gunner. I do not know any women or men that have been raped, but I know several women that carry pepper spray and one that carries a stun gun, firearms are not the only choice for self defense. Most law enforcement agencies use several use of force items, ranging from vocal skills, chemical sprays, impact weapons (baton, PR24) flashlights, tasers and firearms. Seems to me like you only want unskilled or people with little to no training carrying guns, or were they going to get all their training from their 8 hour CCW course?
