Carded at Wal Mart

Hey, I was just at Wal-Mart buying a few groceries. I was also buying two 50 round boxes of CCI Stingers. For those who don't know, Stingers are .22LR caliber. The cashier actually carded me for buying ammo. I had no adult beverages with me and I don't smoke or chew. Anyone else have this cockeyed experience?

Federal law sets minimum ages for buying different kinds of ammo. Walmart verifies the buyer's age to comply with federal law. We've had dozens of threads on this topic.

I sincerely doubt it they carded you simply because you don't smoke or chew.
