I am going to be hand loading both smokeless and black powder rounds for use in a single action army clone and a rossi 92 lever action. These are both chambered in .45 colt.
I will be using 35 grains of goex ffg for the black powder, and 8.5 grains unique for the smokeless. Starline brass will be used and 255 grain keith style wad cutters will be used.
I am wanting to know if the CCI #350 magnum primers will be safe to use with the smokeless rounds. Haven't made up my mind between USFA or New Vaquero, but neither will be able to handle Ruger only loads.
My reason for doing this is to be able to stock only one type of primer.
Thanks in advance.
