Can one use CCI #41 military primers in standard rifles like a Weatherby Vanguard .223.I know developed load would need tweaking, but when where would I find the data to begin adjustment. I looked on Hodgdon website with no luck. I have developed loads using IMR 8208xbr with a 40 grain v-max and a load using a 60grain Nosler Partition with CFE 223. The primers for both of those loads a WSR. Thanks in advance for always do I get valued insight and wisdom.

Yes you can. The only thing is that some guns with lighter firing pin springs will have trouble igniting them.

Pro tip ... while I did buy two bricks of #41s today just because I'm about to run a couple of 1000 Mk262 clones ... Wolf Magnum Small Rifle Primers are really just as good as 41s. Thick cups, same anvil ... I ran out and am having-to go-back-to 41s but I wish I had bought 40k of the Wolf MSRPs 15 years ago when Widener's had them for $18 a brick. I bought 10k and thought I was probably being stupid at the time ... hindsight.

If they ever come back they'll still be half what the CCIs are.

Wish I had bought more as well, at $14 per 1K. Oh well.
