I'm looking for a bag that can be used as a diaper / toddler accessories bag that has a good method of carrying a full-size handgun. I've seen the MaxPedition stuff, anything else? Bonus points for pink camo :p I have a daughter.

If anyone has used a MaxPedition I'd be interested in which model and how you liked it. Thanks!

Bovice, you made my day. Thanks.

As to the original poster, I have "converted" a couple of bags by sewing and gluing (both, at the same time) velcro to the inside, then attaching a holster that is made for that (velcro attachment). You just need to find a stiff panel for the attachment, else it will sag.

While it may work for you, it is certainly not something you would want to forget or share.
I can just see becoming used to it, and the babysitter ending up keeping the bag on the floor with the baby after a change.
Resulting in a gun being left within childrens' reach.

Diaper bags tend to be pretty big, and bags that big tend to be put on the ground.
Bags with guns on the ground are not ideal around children.
And the whole point of a diaper bag is to have it around children.

Off body carry also provides limited protection. Many likely scenerios won't include the bad guy letting you go rummage in a bag.
It reminds me of women that insist on carrying in a purse. When a purse is often the target, focus of attention, and access to it unavailable in a scuffle or attack. Making it a carry method that relies on the bad guy not being physical or violent with them in order for them to deploy the firearm.

All jesting aside, my wife carried in a diaper bag for some time. Then my youngest had the nerve to tell her she "was too old to have a baby". I'm amazed the kid survived.

For women of child bearing age, it's a pretty good bit of camouflage. I doubt many would think of stealing a diaper bag, all sorts of nasty stuff can be in there.

We used a Bagmaster range bag as a baby bag when my daughter was little. We picked it because it was velcro lined and had adjustable panels that we could configure to all the bits and pieces we had to haul around.

Ha, I've used diaper bags for my pistols going to the range
that said, I switched to a P32 and pocket carry when the kids came, would rather have it on me and inaccessible to them than have to dig in the diaper bag

however, I don't really see anyone stealing a diaper bag either
