Captain America asked:
CCW laws in TN

Guys, I don't mean to change the subject AT ALL... but I live in TN and I am having a hard time trying to find a clear cut list of laws and regulations on ccw in my state. By the time that I get my license and start carrying, I want to at least have a good idea of the situation. I know that some states have special regs such as printing in TX. Where can I go to find this info?

Quietly bringing it to his attention - " . . . ya done good . . . "

I'd much rather a fellow gunnie brought my . . . indiscretion . . . to my attention, rather than someone who might be more vocal.

A "Posted Business" means (in Arizona-eese) that it is posted "No Firearms".

But, as explained to me by the ex-DPS patrolman who taught my CC class, what that really means is if they DO see your weapon, they must first ask you to leave. If you refuse to leave, then there is an issue (on your part).

So, I always carry, except in .gov buildings, and at work (because I value my job). And liquor stores/bars.

But I make sure that I will never print, by carrying a snubby. It is why I sold my Glock. Concealed means CONCECALED, dammit. If you need to compensate for perceived deficiencies in your anatomy, then you are in the wrong game. For the rest of us, please take up fishing and buy really long poles or really big lures, or something.:scrutiny:

I think you did all you could do. No doubt he was a little embarrassed that is why he acted the way he did. (still no excuse)

I am new to carring concealed and I can't tell you how paraniod I am of someone seeing me print or just knowing that I have a gun. I think I would rather have you tell me than someone who would make a big deal.

Right or wrong if he can't accept someone helping him out he doesn't deserve your help next time. Let the fool find out the hard way. BTW you did right, don't feel bad that he could not accept your help politely.

No Set In Stone Rule

Its probably a good thing that you being a caring co-worker noticed it
before a manager. You most likely saved him a lot of grief. I'm sorry
that this individual didn't take it the way it was intended. Kind'a an
attitude problem it sounds like too me. Anyway, I commend you for
doing the right thing; a job well done, at least in the eyes of this
old' THR member~! :D
