I'm told there is a new version of the NC CCH training video in the works, finally. I was a student in the very first session of the concealed carry instructor's class taught at the Eastern Justice Academy at Salemburg, and saw the tape for the first time there. It hasn't changed since... .
FYI for those who didn't know about it, a revised edition of the 'little red book' on NC Firearms Laws came out in December 2007. You can see it at

Conceal Carry Law Discussion at NCRPA Board of Directors Meeting
During the NCRPA Board of Directors Meeting, Assistant State Attorney General John Aldridge will review aspects of the concealed carry law of NC.

*Yes, I use a pen name on the net. This dates from long ago when I was still working for a living and had a security clearance to worry about. The Army 'owned' my real name, so I started using a pen name for personal net activities. The 'legacy' of this is that more people know me by my pen name than by my real name. Not an effort to hide or deceive, just to separate two spheres of activity- which came to have unintended consequences.
