My freind and I are wanting to compete in a youth shooting competition this summer. My freind doesn't have a whole lot of experience with guns, but he does know how to shoot fairly. I've got a lot of experience, my dad bought me my first shotgun when I was 3. I have 29 deer under my belt, but I have never competed against other sportsmen. I'm coaching my freind and he's improving a lot. We would like to enter a youth rifle competition somewere in the Austin area. We would be fine with pistols though, as I am excelent with my Springfeild Champion .45, and he's pretty good with his CZ75 9mm. If anyone could give us information on any kind of match or competition in the area this summer, we would greatly appreciate it.

Are you in high school still? If you are try JROTC or the 4H for small bore rifle. You could also join your local IDPA chapter, International Defensive Pistol Association, they do 3 gun competition etc. it's alot of fun and you will learn a bunch.

Might want to drop the moniker though, Haji Hunter (Pilgrim Hunter), is definitely not High Road.

Cool much better name, I would try 4H then and look into IDPA they have youth shooters. Your high school doesn't have a rifle range? Mine did!!! Go Roos!! (Killeen High School). :p
