I'm curious about the Century C-93. From everything that I've read, it sounds promising. I would love to have a little brother for my CETME and I think a C-93 would fill the bill. Anyone have any actual experience with one? Please no "Century weapons are all crap" nonsense. I've had 2 Century CETMEs and they were fine rifles, so I won't buy into that.

I have one - it's a great rifle.

The gentleman I bought it off of had replaced all the springs with a Wolff kit, though he got a steep discount on them... I'm not sure if they come from the factory with the paddle mag release or if they've been removed like on the 91's and CETME's. Mine has the paddle mag release, though, and it's a great modification to these HK style rifles.

In any event, for a Century, it's quite accurate. With steel cased ammo it prints 2-3" inches on my backyard range (100 yds).

Well they seem to be alright for the most part now, but early C93's were some of the worst rifles Century made, improperly pinned barrels were the biggest problem causing headspace/bolt gap to shrink rapidly, they would also grind the bolt heads rather than change the rollers to adjust headspace/bolt gap, and crooked cocking tube and front sight frames were somewhat common.

Like I said, lately they seem to have gotten things under control and your chances of getting a good one are much higher now, but it would be best of course if you could look at the rifle in person to check it out for those issues.

I bought one a few years ago, bolt gap held fine, but the front sight was so crooked I couldn't adjust the sights enough to get it on target, I sent it to Parabellum Combat Systems and had the sights straitened and a paddle mag release installed, now its the rifle I use in the local HP matches.
