Alright, so my brother has an M&P15T .223 AR rifle that he wants to sell. He bought it at Sportsmans Warehouse for ~$1300. Due to him not being too interested in shooting, he is deciding to sell. It hasn't had more than 200 rounds through it. He says that he'll give it up for $1000.
I think this would be a pretty good deal, however, it's not exactly what I am looking for. I don't own an AR, and have been hoping to find a 20 inch full size AR, and his is a 16 inch. It has the full rail, which I was also looking at.
Would there be any possible way to convert this to a 20 inch AR? Also, would this rail http://www.del-ton.com/PRI_Free_Float_Tube_p/pri101.htm fit the 16 inch AR? I know true SPR rifles have 18 inch barrels; how will a 16 inch SPR look?
As far as I know, it has a carbine length gas block, and not a full rifle length gas block; will this inhibit me at all?
Thanks,
AU
