"Alright, who is lying.
*Sits and waits patiently*"

My money's on the cop. It's been my experience that most cops are evil incarnate with 3 exceptions.:fire:

My money's on the reporter. The only one I ever met who didn't misquote (usually deliberately) got out of the reporting game years ago and became a professor of journalism.

To quote a former employer: "Everything you read in print is the truth ... unless you have first-hand knowledge of the facts."

I was a cop for a short while a long time ago...

and I did not like the attitude of most of my fellow officers. I have had several experiences with the police here where I live and it was not plesant. I was the one that initiated the call. Most are type AAA personality and arrigant to boot. I have been in the position where I had to deal with the press on a regular basis and all were good experiences with the exception of one reporter who had political ambitions. Enough said on this.
As far as protecting my home, I am an excellent shot and well trained. If you are inside, highly unlikely, you will be dealt with harshly if you so much as f*rt. However, I will not chase you down the street. I do not know who or what is out there. I will go out to shoot you if you are breaking into my car or doing vandalism if you do not follow my instructions or make funny moves, at night. During the day, I can only run you off unless you threaten me. I give credit to Mr Young coming here to respond to what any of you have to say...........chris3

The "don't fight back" policy is what made September 11 possible...

Our enemies (criminals/terrorists/etc.) will exploit anything they perceive to be a weakness.

BTW, anytime I have had personal knowledge of the situation behind a news story, I have found the news story to be significantly and critically flawed. Sort of gives you a different perspective on the news...

I guess it goes to show you not even AZ is immune from this kind of "attitude".
Y'all's cops must be catching some stupid from their close proximity to us.:)

Weird, I tend to think of AZ as the FL of the left coast, from a RKBA/Self-Defense perspective. Maybe the chief is from Bisbee or Sedona?

And here I thought that Flight 93 represented the turning point in that passive nonsense forever.:(

Not really - just reinforces my existing perspective.
