Change.gov = Obama AWB 2

So how do we remind the upcoming administration that since the ranks of gunowners have swelled in response to their stated policy objective of supporting a permanent AWB that following through on such a bas would be meet with the same backlash that the previous AWB caused?

Some OP elsewhere suggested that I don't have a 12 point plan.

I do have a 12 point plan --

www.chage.gov

Write Obama/Biden and express your views. Obama stated in his election night speech: "I will listen, particularly when we disagree."

Join the NRA. If you're a member, get your friends to join. Way more gun owners in the USA than NRA members.

Get your CCW. If you have one, get one in another state that's not reciprocal with the one you own.

Help push the recent 15% increase in gun sales. Buy another firearm. Someone in here purchased a "junker" at a shop for $30 just so he could fill out the 4475 and do the NICS.

Join a gun club.

If you're a member, get someone else to join.

Write Obama/Biden again. They need to hear it more than once.

Practice some discreet open carry if it's legal. I'm not talking about walking into Wal-Mart with an AR slung over your shoulder. I'm talking about wearing your sidearm "Open Carry" when you're out recreating -- fishing, hiking, walking the dog.

Write your local representatives: US Congressional Delegates, US Senators.

Set up gun safety/hunter safety programs locally -- learn to be an instructor.

Go to a gun show. Buy another gun.

Get a curio/relic license. Buy a curio/relic online.

Jan. 20, 2008 is RKBA Day.

I think it means either Obama is embarrassed at his previous views on firearms or he realizes it's not worth it.

I wish I could be as optimistic as some of you. I have a feeling the edits to his website are in response to the massive gun sales; except hes not scared of public sentiment, he's merely trying to cool the purchases so his administration can fulfill their goals. Once the craze has settled, I'm sure we will hear about this again.

Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

-Benjamin Franklin 1775

Any questions?

or hes found it best to secretly attack us via ammo bans and taxes vs openly opposing our RTKBA

nobody's dumb enough to say "were coming to take them" but they will section us off, and win that way. divide and conquer. the first step is separate us from our ammo.

"Those of you who have $25 to spend on ammo should send it to the NRA for an annual membership."

-- Wayne LaPierre/Ted Nugent
