Just when I thought they had too much to do and might leave the gun debate alone. I was reading change.gov, Obama's web site for 2009 and found this little nugget under urban policy. Here we go........

Address Gun Violence in Cities: Obama and Biden would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade. Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals. They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent.

Yes, this has been heavily discussed since early November. It is important to note that the incoming administration will continue to try to address the party plank, at least in words.

In the end, all that discussion still can't predict what the future brings for the RKBA.

The key seems to be to let your CongressCritters know how you feel about the RKBA, so that they can vote accordingly.

No offense, but if anyone is a RKBA advocate and this is the first time that you learned of this administration's agenda, this is the rock that you have been living under for the past year or so:

But I DO love those gunowners that voted for Obama who come around occasionally to assert that he isn't our enemy.

I wonder what color the sky is in that world.
